LOOKBOOK Justin Yap / Men

A couple of weeks back, I took on the task of creating a LOOKBOOK for JustinYap's Men designs. Working with Justin Yap, Shan Ratnam and Tay Sze Ming was great. Although there wasn't much of an art direction in this issue compared to Project 2013/2014, I'm glad we did it anyway.

"Justin Yap is certainly no fresh face to the Malaysian fashion scene. A year into his fashion design course at Carven Ong Academy, he bagged the MIFA “Best Evening Wear Designer” award. One year later, his black-and-white collection at Carven’s 15th Anniversary event won him another Best Evening Gown award. In 2006, his collaboration with Tan Been Ting, local batik artist, brought them to the grand finals in the Piala Seri Endon Batik competition." - TongueChic

His collection is clean, fitting and dipped with eccentrism. His recent works involve his love of snakeskin and these are also splashed across his men's collection.

You can visit his collection at Elegantology (Publika) or directly contact him through style.justinyap@yahoo.com
